Academics

At Hardin Valley Middle School, our Enrichment class is designed to support the whole student—academically, socially, and emotionally. Serving as both a morning homeroom and a dedicated period during the school day, Enrichment provides students with opportunities to connect, grow, and explore in meaningful ways.

Each week, students participate in a balanced schedule that includes:

  • Advisory (Twice Weekly): A time focused on social-emotional learning, goal setting, and relationship building. Advisory sessions foster a sense of community and help students develop the skills needed for academic and personal success.

  • Physical Activity (Twice Weekly): Movement and wellness are key components of student success. These sessions give students the chance to recharge through active, unstructured physical engagement that supports focus, health, and well-being.

  • Enrichment Activity Wednesdays: Once a week, students select from a variety of engaging, interest-based classes. These enrichment activity options allow students to explore new topics, develop talents, and pursue areas of personal passion beyond the traditional curriculum.

Our Enrichment program reflects our commitment to developing well-rounded learners who are equipped to Soar Above in every aspect of their middle school experience.
